Students from CEDP Skill Institute demonstrated their expertise and dedication at the prestigious Maha Mumbai Marathoners event held on December 1, 2024. The event, a celebration of health and fitness, saw over 100 BPTh (Bachelor of Physiotherapy) students from CEDP Skill Institute actively participating in the recovery pavilion, providing post-run rehabilitation services to marathon participants.
In collaboration with Sai Hospital, the students were deployed to two key marathon venues: 61 students at Thane and 41 students at BKC. As health partners for the event, Sai Hospital ensured that the students gained valuable hands-on experience while contributing significantly to the recovery process of the runners.
The students worked alongside doctors to assist in the rehabilitation of runners, ensuring their recovery after the grueling marathon. Reporting at 4:30 AM, the students showcase their skills in physiotherapy by providing essential care and support, reinforcing the importance of post-marathon recovery. Their role included stretching, muscle relaxation, and injury prevention techniques, which were highly appreciated by the participants and organizers alike.
Each student was presented with a certificate of participation and refreshments as a token of appreciation for their contribution. Their exceptional performance and enthusiasm drew praise from both Sai Hospital and the marathon organizers. Many students expressed their gratitude for the opportunity, noting how the experience enriched their practical knowledge and boosted their confidence. One student shared, “It was a beautiful experience to assist professional doctors and help runners recover. We are thankful to CEDP Skill Institute for this platform.”
CEDP Skill Institute remains committed to bridging the gap between theoretical learning and real-world application. Events like the Maha Mumbai Marathoners offer students invaluable exposure and prepare them for professional challenges in the healthcare sector. Hon. Mrs. Shaheen Khan, Founder & CEO of CEDP Skill Institute, remarked, “We are proud of our students for stepping up and showcasing their capabilities. Such experiences are integral to shaping their careers and contributing to society.”
The Maha Mumbai Marathoners event was not just a test of physical endurance for the runners but also a testament to the commitment and skill of the CEDP students.
