A conducted survey reveals that only some of the Indian workforce has undergone the skill development program when, India needs a much higher skilled workforce.

Modiji in his speech said that in the 21st century, and in this rapidly growing and changing world, India has to play an effective role and we will have to change ourselves rapidly. And with the same thought, for innovation, research, design, development, & for enterprise, the required ecosystem is getting ready at a faster speed. Lot of emphasis is being put on Quality of Education, taking the technology ahead, an education system fulfilling the needs of the 21st century is equally important. Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, Curiosity, Communication, Coding, AI, Internet of things, Cloud computing, Data Science, Robotics  are the 21st Century skills that youth should develop in order to increase their career opportunities as mentioned by Modiji in his speech. Recently the New Education Policy has been finally launched after 5 long years of thorough discussion, debate and research that has been made taking into consideration, the needs, wishes, expectations and ambitions of the youth. The New Education Policy is an actual reflection of the Youth’s aspirations.

We have been living in this pandemic and have been talking about lockdown; however Skill Development is one of such areas which were never under lockdown. Thanks to online learning which has enabled several students to get skilled even during the lockdown.
