In Hotel  Management we have 2 courses. 1 year Diploma in Hotel management & 3 years of International Hotel Management course. Unless you have good experience in the similar field it would be difficult to go to the e Senior or Manager position. However it depends upon the person’s working ability & taking challenges to perform & shine among others.

    • CEDP Skill Institute says:

Before jumping to any decision to select hotel management as a career option, it is always advised to analyse pros and cons, growth prospects, matching of work-profile with personality traits, etc. If the candidate is not willing to work in various profiles he may not be suitable for it as in hotel management an employee may be asked to work in management, food and beverage service, housekeeping, front office operation, sales and marketing, accounting or any other department

Both, degree and diploma are types of recognition conferred on a person on the successful completion of an educational course. However, there are a lot of differences between the two and they aren’t interchangeable. The duration of a degree course is usually 3 to 4 years and the emphasis is on academics. For example, B.Com (H) is a 3-year degree course that teaches students subjects like accountancy, economics, and business studies; B.Tech is a 4-year degree course that teaches subjects like physics, chemistry and math, and includes the subject one plans to major in, an MBBS is a 5 and 1/2-year long degree that teaches the general aspects of medicine.

A diploma course is a short term course (usually 1 to 2 years in duration) that focuses on training a person in a particular field. A lot of diploma courses have on-the-job training and apprenticeship, and focus more on practical exams. For example, a diploma in computer science involves subjects centered on programming languages and computer hardware only.

Though there will be a lot of peer pressure and some from the family and relatives, it is okay if you could not get through your 12th board exams. One must be educated enough to earn a living. Do not get disheartened, this is only an initial phase of your life and even if you don’t succeed there will many times you will make it. Best thing you can do is re-appear for your exams, work harder this time, and prove them wrong. In case you do not wish to study any further, here are a great of entry level courses available.
