A guest lecture improves students’ applied learning!

The new innovation in the thriving automobile domain has changed the job scenario. The industry perspective has drastically changed in a way how we looked at it. To help our automobile students acquaint with the ever-changing automobile industry, a Skill Talk was organized for them.

We were truly delighted to have Mrs. Swati Milind Sinkar at the Skill Talk wherein she interacted with our future car and bike doctors. She has 17 years of rich experience in the automobile industry and has been running a workshop named Fast-track Workshop in Jogeshwari since 2007. Our students got an insight into four-wheelers and two-wheelers mechanism and learned about the developments and advancements in technology.

Mrs. Swati Milind Sinkar said, “New innovations have generated ample job opportunities for the candidates aspiring to make a career in the automobile industry. They can be hired for an array of workshop spheres including washing, cleaning, polishing, denting & painting, scanning, wheel adjustment & balancing, insurance claim executive and more. ”

Mrs. Swati encouraged students to inculcate and develop the habit of learning. She provided some great tips and recommendation to them such as:

• Practical sessions and internships are a great way to get hands-on training in automotive parts. Never miss this opportunity.
• Learning driving is very important and you must have a driving license. To assess any technical issue, you have to drive the car or bike yourself.
• You must learn automotive business operations with a specific focus on customer service, service writing, vehicle repair, and parts.
• Develop and enhance your marketing skills if you want to set up and grow your own workshop.
• To run the workshop successfully and earn a profit, you must learn finance management such as automotive parts purchase, labor cost, oil purchase, and other expenses that you have to bear.

Mrs. Swati Sinkar briefed the students about the automotive insurance policy and the complete procedure to claim insurance. The lecture was concluded with a brief question-answer session.
