Tips to stay energized and fresh during lockdown

Keeping oneself fresh and energetic amidst disrupted routine can be really challenging as we are just confined indoors during coronavirus outbreak. Now days, I guess we all have been struggling to get up in the morning. You might also feel your head getting heavy, experience a slump in energy and just keep lazing all around.  But there are still lots of things you can do to maintain your health and wellbeing. So here we have some great tips to keep your stamina up from morning to night!

Enjoy the sunshine

Natural light is very effective in controlling our circadian rhythm – an internal process that regulates the sleep-wake cycle. So start your day by opening blinds to enjoy the warmth of sunlight and breathe in the fresh air. The natural light of sun reduces the melatonin hormone which induces sleep.

Breakfast rich in protein

Keep your energy level high by munching a food rich in protein. Eggs, yogurt and nuts are some healthy foods that are good source of protein. A nutritious and well-balanced breakfast will give you plenty of energy and keep your stomach full until lunchtime. This will also minimize snacking and you won’t gain much weight!!!

Stay Hydrated

As a holistic health practice, drink plenty of water to stay hydrated! It will make you feel more active during the day. Doctors recommend 8 glasses of water per day. So, eat water-rich foods and drink at least 8 glasses of water to give your body what it needs to stay energized throughout the day.

Exercise daily

30 minutes of moderate physical activity will surely keep you energetic for rest of the day. As our daily routine has changed a lot, your body may feel tired and feel sleepy. Recharge your body with simple exercise or enjoy zumba dance to boost your mood. A daily physical activity is good for optimizing health and prevents gaining weight.

Limit Caffeine

The caffeinated drinks like coffee may cause you to feel even more tired when it wears off. These drinks are good refreshments but don’t have a long-lasting effect. As your body feels the effect less and less, it will crave more caffeine. Drinking a moderate amount of caffeine isn’t likely to cause stress, headaches and make you feel jittery.

Maintaining a good health and active lifestyle is very important. You can walk indoors and practicing yoga, meditation or enjoy on-the-spot jogging. Physical activities releases endorphins and help in getting better sleep and wake up fresh in the morning.
