JOB DESCRIPTION

Required Qualifications – PhD, Post Graduate, MBA, B.Ed. or with an equivalent degree with a strong academic background

Total / Relevant Experience – 10 – 15 years of high level of expertise in overseeing and managing similar responsibilities at an international or reputed school or college of national repute, 10+ years at an HOD or any senior level designation in an institute of identical / similar nature.

1. Objective :

Purpose is to plan and direct institute activities related to student services and campus life. As Head of Academics & Admissions you will help in plan admissions and entire Academia functions for the entire institute. (S) He will also act a mentor to students in shaping their careers.

2. Job Summary :

Manage the academic staff & students ensuring smooth functioning. Handling end to end Academia and Faculty Operations, student challenges & act as a bridge between the students & faculty. Also shall be responsible for identifying projects at the process level and assist in closing operational and business gaps.

3. Job Description

  1. Devise, present and execute sales & marketing strategy in line with company goals
  2. Build mutually beneficial relationship with stakeholders, clients, students, business associates, internal teams and all members associated
  3. Manage teams including centres and franchise centres in terms of sales and revenue goals assigned for the year
  4. Track and monitor sales, invoice and revenue numbers are in line with business plan / company goals
  5. Motivate team members to meet daily / weekly / monthly targets
  6. Ensure SOP’s and compliances are met by the entire team at all times
  7. Resolve grievances of team / students and other stakeholders to satisfaction
  8. Ensure full recovery of the invoice amount in coordination with the recovery team
  9. Ensure smooth operations between Sales and Academia
  10. Overall planning, development, renewal and changing of academic programmes to ensure meaningful academic outcomes, quality, effectiveness and financial viability, and obtaining the necessary approvals
  11. Strategize and plan yearly academic calendar in coordination with Sales / marketing projections to ensure smooth operations
  12. Setting the timetable of the classes of all the branches including Franchise centres
  13. Set and monitor start and end dates of all batches and ensure syllabus is covered within the set timelines
  14. Ensure syllabus is as market standards / current trends to ensure relevance and also ensure faculties are up breast with current trends / highest teaching methodology themselves
  15. Identify projects at the business level and drive them end to end
  16. Collaborate and tie up with international bodies and aides in running various programmes and build the overall brand building process in collaboration with branding & corporate communication team
  17. Align faculties based on yearly calendar and ensure right amount of faculty at the right time
  18. Approve, Assign & monitor the execution of the course sheet for each faculty
  19. Partner with placement teams to ensure HR sessions and smooth placement of students
  20. Training & Development of Faculty
  21. Monitor right inventory of lab / practical / consumable in coordination with purchase team
  22. Ensuring smooth conduction of practicals
  23. Ensure examinations are conducted in line with the academic calendar in coordination with exam’s team, centre manager, etc.
  1. Conduct Faculty meetings on a monthly basis
  2. Conduct Parent-Teacher meetings every month
  3. Maintain and monitor Attendance records for Faculty & Students
  4. Team Management
  5. Reporting to Directors on a daily basis
  6. Planning & executing Industrial Visits & Camps
  7. Maintaining general discipline & decorum in Faculty & Students
  8. Planning of upcoming batches in co-ordination with the Centre Managers & Faculty
  9. Handling Manpower Requisitions of Faculty
  10. Maintain MIS of all the activities mentioned above and present the same to company management
  11. Present dashboards of projected v/s actuals every month or as per requirement
  12. Any other responsibility that the management assigns from time-to-time

4. Supervisory responsibility :

Titles of employees supervised – 25+

5. Other requirements :

Languages: English, Hindi, Marathi
