“Today’s generations live for speed but I am someone who is captivated with various mechanism of improving the bike’s performance”
Hello Folks! I am Rahul Dinkar Fender a Mechanical Engineer by profession and I feel so proud to share with you all that I work in India’s leading sports bike company – KTM. KTM is an off-road motorcycle and is undoubtedly country’s most popular bike. In India and elsewhere buyers make a beeline whenever KTM’s new model is launched.
The journey towards my passion for bikes actually started with a bitter note. I was in my school, standard 8th when I had been to my aunt’s place to congratulate my cousin on his brand new bike. I was admiring the bike, the color, the shape and excitedly I hopped on the motorcycle. That very moment my cousin yelled at me in front of my family and I ended up feeling embarrassed and awkward. This humiliation actually made stronger and was indeed a wake-up call. Since then my passion and heart for automobiles grew multi fold and was sure that one day i will own a fleet of bikes. My brother – a senior engineer who lives in Texas enquired with his friends on the best Mumbai institute offering mechanical courses. Post all references and researches, he zeroed down on CEDP Skills Institute from Mulund. The fact that they give “On-Job-Training” really impressed us and on top of it 100 % placement guarantee was something very enticing.
I too did adequate research on CEDP Skills Institute and i immediately liked it as they too believe in philosophy of ‘learning while doing’. Although theoretical knowledge is very significant but I belong to the clan of ‘learn on field’. I still vividly remember appearing for examinations without any preparations on my first day and still managed to rank 1st. Not only in my 1st semester but in all semesters I ranked 1st. Often my friends used to pick up fights with me over technical matters related to our course but I always used to win it because as it goes, ‘knowledge truly is power in an argument’.
The best part about my whole journey is that I am a proud owner of 8 bikes. I often take a long tour of around 15 days as it maintains my bikes in top shape. The moment I cleared my 10th my father gifted me Karizma- Black Limited Edition premium sports with chrome silencer. This bike is still my pride because it was 4th such bike in Nagpur city. My collection includes Yamaha RX 100, RX 135,Hero Karizma R,Yamaha RD 350, Royal Enfield 500 Chrome, Vespa bike, KTM Duke 390 and many more. My personal favorite is my grandfather’s Bullet which was ‘Made in England’ and it is maintained in a mint condition. These are not just bikes but I would say they are legendary bikes.
I genuinely want to thank CEDP Skills Institute, Vasim Sir, Shaheen Ma’am and the expert lecturers for all the knowledge and skills they instilled in me which helped me to begin my journey successfully. I truly admire their effort to groom me by polishing my communication skills and presentation skills. To all aspiring engineers I would suggest you all to choose CEDP Skills Institute’s Automobile Course for starting your career smoothly. Again, thank you CEDP Team for all the efforts!
